REVIEWS

quote I had been craving Peking duck for a while and discovered that there was a well-known place near my home, so I made a reservation and visited. According to Google, this dish requires a one-day advance booking, but due to frequent no-shows, the restaurant requires a confirmation call before your visit to request the duck dish. The reservation confirmation was processed quickly, which was great, and the phone service was also prompt. The place has a spacious and open feel with an ocean view, and there were plenty of table options, which I appreciated. Since it was a cold day, they turned on the heater for us. Although it was a cloudy day, we were lucky enough to see a rainbow while waiting for our food, which made me happy. The taste of the Peking duck was excellent. I personally like the leg portion, so I requested it to be cut separately, and they kindly accommodated my request. The dish normally comes with 10 pancakes, but we ordered 6 more. The second course allows you to choose between noodles or rice, and we opted for fried rice. The portion was very large, and it was light and not greasy, which made it taste clean. As a side dish, we ordered stir-fried mushrooms and bok choy. The seasoning for this dish was a bit disappointing for me personally. However, when paired with the lightly seasoned fried rice, the sauce complemented it well. One downside was that the server asked us if we wanted to order drinks about seven times, which felt a bit uncomfortable. We had chosen a quiet time to visit, but the atmosphere still felt somewhat chaotic, which was a bit of a letdown for me.

quote Eat here regularly: the food is consistently good. Stand outs are the Peking duck, Salt and Pepper prawns, Special fried rice. The long serving staff are always pleasant and helpful. Strongly recommend

quote Hands down the best Peking duck in town! The skin is always crispy, the meat is tender and juicy, and the pancakes are soft and fresh. I’ve recommended this place to so many friends, and everyone who’s gone has loved it. It’s been a while since I visited, but I still think about that duck all the time. Staff are lovely and friendly without hovering and the atmosphere is relaxed with a cozy local charm. Can’t wait to come back for another feast!

quote 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What an incredible meal! Every dish was a standout — the Special Fried Rice was light, fluffy, and packed with flavour; the Peking Rainbow Steak was crispy, rich, and absolutely mouth-watering; the BBQ Pork in Plum Sauce was tender with a perfect balance of sweet and savoury; and the Duck Chow Mein was a knockout — full of flavour, loaded with duck, and that crispy noodle base was next level. The portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. Great service and a relaxed setting made it even better. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic and delicious Chinese food. We’ll definitely be back! 🍚🥢🦆🥡

quote Great Chinese food on the Gold Coast which is difficult to come by. The service was also friendly. Ordered: Rainbow Beef, Fried Rice and Peking Duck and Duck Crispy Fried noodles. Rainbow Beef: was delicious, crispy and flavorful. Fried Rice: whilst tasty and fried well, had very little bits of meat and other ingredients, more like specks. Peking Duck: was delicious, however skin could have been more crispy. Found it a bit chewy and hard to bite through. Please note it takes ~25 min for duck to be prepared even if pre-ordered over the phone so best to call in advance to tell the restaurant you’re on the way so you don’t have to wait too long especially if hungry. Duck Noodles: A bit salty, and some of the noodles were caked up together and not separated.
